8th Annual Trivia Bee Raises approximately $40,000!
2014 Event Scheduled for Friday, April 18th!
The 8th Annual Trivia Bee, presented by ODS, once again sold out this year with 49 teams participating! We are so thankful to the sponsors and audience members that participated in support of Classroom Grants.
The event began at 6 PM jazz stylings of Summit High students. Local celebrities, corporate VIPs, community leaders, and foundation supporters mingled and enjoyed catered appetizers donated by Zydeco Kitchen and Cocktails, as teams rekindled old rivalries and refined strategies. After a brief presentation showcasing Foundation work, the competition was underway. Thanks to the emcees, judges, and technical teams who kept things rolling!
After many hard-fought rounds, the championship round ended with 2 teams locked in a dead heat. Many tie-breaker questions later, the Miller Lumber "Hardwoods" emerged victorious and took home the coveted Trivia Bee revolving trophy. As usual, a lively team name competition humored the audience as did fun costumes. Ultimately, team "Fox in Socks" From Bluefish Dental caught the audience’s fancy and took home the most votes to win the best team name category.
